Rob Roy Hotel, Aberfoyle

Wonderfully situated in idyllic countryside at the gateway to the glorious Trossachs and a short stroll along the banks of the Forth River to the picturesque village of Aberfoyle.  All bedrooms are tastefully decorated, with the majority on the ground floor. Enjoy delicious meals in the traditional restaurant and the entertainment or relax in the comfortable lounge bar.

Day One

Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Aberfoyle for your four nights stay at the Rob Roy Hotel. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Day Two

Spend the day exploring Stirling, known as the 'wee city with a big history'. There are lots of historic attractions, shops and friendly pubs. There are also independent boutiques in the historic Old Town and the Victorian Stirling Arcade. Entry is included to Stirling Castle, which dominates the city and offers panoramic views of the mountains and the Wallace Monument. It is one of Scotland's most historically important sites and was once a favoured residence of the Stewart kings and queens, who held grand celebrations at the castle. There is also a restaurant, café and gift shops.

Day Three

Take the scenic journey through Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park passing Loch Achray and Strathyre, before travelling along the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond to Luss and Balloch.

Day Four

Spend the morning at The Kelpies. These majestic 30-metre-high horse-head sculptures are the largest equine sculptures in the world. They pay homage to the working horses of Scotland, which used to pull barges along Scotland's canals and worked in the fields in the area where they now stand.

Day Five

After breakfast you leave Aberfoyle and travel home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Please Note

It may be necessary under certain circumstances for these excursions to be operated on different days to those shown.
