Dominated by the majestic Stirling Castle, Stirling has played a pivotal role in Scotland’s history, including the Battle of Stirling Bridge. It is known for its charming Old Town and majestic castle, which has spectacular views across the city to the famous Wallace Monument.

King Robert Hotel, near Stirling

 

The King Robert Hotel is a family run hotel where you will always find a friendly welcome, situated on the site of the Battle of Bannockburn on the outskirts of historic Stirling. The Hotel features include Bruce's Bistro restaurant, serving both lunch and dinner in a modern and relaxed atmosphere as well as their lounge bar. (no lift)

Day One

Depart from your selected joining point and travel to the King Robert Hotel, Stirling. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Day Two

Visit the pretty little town of Callander before enjoying a scenic tour through the glorious vistas of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, a special place of sweeping landscapes, lochs and majestic mountains. Travel along the 'Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond' and take a relaxing cruise on the loch. Before returning to the hotel, a stop will be made at Loch Lomond Shores, home to a mix of department stores, boutique shops and nationwide stores. Enjoy shopping and a cuppa or well-deserved snack; or simply stroll outside, take a seat and enjoy the views across the Loch to Ben Lomond.

Day Three

Immerse yourself in the award-winning Battle of Bannockburn experience which puts you at the heart of the action. Stand shoulder to shoulder with Robert the Bruce on the site of his greatest victory and discover more about this crucial event in Scottish history. Afterwards explore the historic city of Stirling with its medieval streets and Castle, once the residence of Scottish Kings; speciality shops and cafes.

Day Four

Travel to the ancient University and Golf city of St Andrews. With ancient monuments and historical links, boutique shops and coastal walks, there is plenty to see and do. Then enjoy a coastal drive to the picturesque fishing village of Crail and Anstruther, known for its award-winning fish and chips.

Day Five

After breakfast you leave Stirling and travel home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
