Enjoy the short ferry crossing to the Isle of Bute, with some free time in the traditional Victorian town of Rothesay. Immerse yourself in the town's rich heritage, evident in the magnificent Victorian facades embracing the picturesque Rothesay Bay. Along the stunning esplanade gardens, you'll find the renovated Isle of Bute Discovery Centre; a distinctive 1920s circular structure crafted from cast iron and glass. This centre, now a hub of entertainment with a cinema, theatre, and interactive exhibits, also serves as a showcase for the best of Bute. Consider exploring the remarkable Rothesay Castle, where dungeons, sturdy outer walls, and a grand hall have been meticulously restored. Adjacent to the castle lies the intriguing Bute Museum, offering a fascinating glimpse into the island's history. Follow the main roads for a scenic drive around Bute before returning to Dunoon.

Enjoy some shopping and a cup of coffee or a well-deserved snack, or take a leisurely stroll outside, find a bench and take in the breathtaking views of Ben Lomond across the Loch.
