Chesterhouse Hotel, Isle of Man

 

Ideally situated in a prime central location, overlooking the promenade and close to the town centre. The hotel offers modern facilities and a friendly service. Enjoy an excellent carvery style menu in the restaurant with great views of Douglas Bay and entertainment in the bar. Simply relax and unwind in the comfortable lounge area. Due to original architectural features, there are external steps to access the hotel entrance. (lift)

 

Day One

Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Heysham for the 14:15 sailing to Douglas on the Isle of Man (arrive approx. 18:00). Your base for this four night holiday is at the Chesterhouse Hotel, Douglas. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Day Two

Follow the TT Route, firstly seeing the statue of the famous motorcyclist Joey Dunlop on Bungalow Bend. Then travel on to Ramsey, where there is some free time before joining the Manx Electric Railway to Laxey and then journey on the Snaefell Mountain Railway, the only mountain on the island.

Day Three

Spend the day seeing the sights of the Southern part of the island, starting with a visit to historic Castletown, home to Castle Rushen and The Old House of Keys. On to the Sound of Man, one of the most picturesque points on the island, before spending some free time in Peel.

Day Four

A free day to discover Douglas, the capital of the island. You may like to take the opportunity to take a horse-drawn tram or visit the Manx Museum, the national museum of the Isle of Man.

Day Five

After breakfast you depart for the 08:45 sailing back to Heysham (arrive approx. 12:30) and travel home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
