Day One

Travel to Blairgowrie and the Angus Hotel for your overnight stay. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Day Two

Marvel at stunning coastal scenery on part of the North Coast 500, before arriving in Thurso and the Pentland Hotel for a three night stay.

Day Three

Take a 45-minute ferry crossing to experience one of the true highlights of this tour: a journey through Orkney's rich history with a knowledgeable local guide. You'll have the opportunity to visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Standing Stones of Stenness and the Ring of Brodgar, as well as Scapa Flow, the Churchill Barriers, the Italian Chapel, and Kirkwall - the island's capital - home to its magnificent cathedral.

Day Four

No visit to this region would be complete without popping by to see John O'Groats, the iconic location with jaw-dropping scenery. The rest of the day is free to explore Thurso, home to the North Coast Visitor Centre with its museum telling the story of Caithness from the geological period through to the present day.

Day Five

Leaving Thurso you travel through Caithness and Sutherland, Europe's last great wilderness, along the spectacular North Coast 500 (NC500), which offers rugged mountains, wonderful coastal scenery, white sandy beaches, charming fishing villages and the most incredible landscapes. A photo stop will be made at Smoo Cave, which boasts one of the largest sea cave entrances in Britain (please note that there are quite a number of steps to and from the cave, although the views from the road are worth the stop anyway)! After a memorable day, head to Ullapool for a two night stay at the Caledonian Hotel.

Day Six

A free day to relax in the picturesque fishing town of Ullapool, nestled on the shores of Loch Broom. Situated in one of the most unspoilt natural environments in the UK, Ullapool boasts a wealth of things to see and do. There is a great choice of varied walks in the area; Stornoway and Lewis in the Outer Hebrides are just a short ferry ride away, plus a choice of wonderful cruises to choose from.

Day Seven

After breakfast, enjoy the stunning highland scenery as you leave Ullapool and journey home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
