The Auckland Hotel, Morecambe
A family-run hotel in the heart of Morecambe, perfectly located near shops and attractions, yet right on the bay. Enjoy delicious food, excellent housekeeping, and relax in the sun lounge, where you can take in spectacular views of the bay, the Lake District hills, and beautiful sunsets. (lift)
Day One
Depart from your selected joining point and travel to the Morecambe and the Auckland Hotel. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
Day Two
A guide will board our coach for a 'Tudor Tales' tour, which starts with a view of the magnificent Samlesbury Hall, one of the top 10 most haunted houses in England. Hoghton Tower is next, with historic connections to William Shakespeare, James I and VI of Scotland and the knighting of Sir Loin of Beef. We pass through Clayton-le-Moors (so named for the 'clay on the moors') and hear of its connections with the Lancashire cotton workers and Irish navigators, before finishing with a fascinating visit to England's largest village, Whalley. Enjoy some free time at Oswaldtwistle Mills, one of Lancashire's most delightful shopping, dining, and heritage destinations. There are over 100 unique retailers and a variety of inviting cafés and
restaurants.
Day Three
Sit back and relax as you journey through the beautiful Lake District National Park, known for its rugged mountains, serene lakes, and picturesque villages. There will be some free time in both the bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere and charming Ambleside.
Day Four
Enjoy a morning visit to the famous seaside resort of Blackpool, known for its tower, classic trams and bustling atmosphere. The remainder of the day is spent at leisure in Morecambe. Perhaps take a walk along the bay and jetty; visit the heritage centre to find out about the towns maritime past or perhaps wander around the shops and arcades.
Day Five
After breakfast you leave Morecambe and journey home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

The deposit required at the time of booking for all holidays is £30 per person, payable on acceptance of the booking and full payment is required 42 days prior to departure (exact date is stated on your confirmation invoice).
