Day One
Depart from your selected joining point and travel to the Cumbria Grand Hotel, Grange-over-Sands. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
Day Two
Travel to the quaint town of Ambleside, the market town of Keswick, nestled between Skiddaw and Derwentwater, and Grasmere, known for William Wordsworth connections. Don't miss this opportunity to indulge in some of the legendary Grasmere Gingerbread. Follow the scenic shores of Ullswater, the second largest lake in the area and over the stunning Kirkstone Pass before returning to the hotel.
Day Three
Take a delightful cruise with commentary along Lake Windermere, followed by free time to wander around Bowness-on-Windermere. Perhaps visit The World of Beatrix Potter, stroll around the lovely shops or simply savour the scenery by the lake. The remainder of the day is spent in Ulverston, nestled between stunning mountains and Morecambe Bay. It is the birthplace of Laurel and Hardy and is also home to the Laurel and Hardy Museum.
Day Four
Begin your day in the quaint market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Meander through picturesque streets, explore local vendors, and absorb the town's charm. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in Kendal's history, renowned for its mint cake. Discover two castles, museums, and historic buildings, while wandering through streets adorned with independent shops.
Day Five
After breakfast you leave Grange-over-Sands and travel home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
