Newcastle is a dynamic city, which has iconic architecture and many popular sites to discover. The area of England’s north east is one of the most beautiful and unexplored regions in the UK, with miles of open countryside, ancient castles and pretty market towns.

Located in the heart of Newcastle city centre, this 4-star hotel offers a prime central location and attractions right on the doorstep.  Renowned for high standards, stylish rooms and tasty menus, the Maldron is the ideal place to enjoy a leisurely getaway. (lift)

 

Day One

Depart from your selected joining point and travel to the Maldron Hotel, Newcastle. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Day Two

Head to the historic town of Alnwick. Enjoy a visit to Alnwick Castle, which featured in the Harry Potter Films; and Alnwick Garden, which is one of the world's most extraordinary contemporary gardens, with its Rose Garden, Serpent Garden, Poison Garden and Grand Cascade.

Day Three

An informative guided tour of the Newcastle area is followed by free time to explore the vibrant city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. With its famous bridges, stunning quayside, castle and quirky shops, there is so much to see and do in this exciting city.

Day Four

Enjoy Northumbria's unspoilt beauty and stunning coastline on today's excursion along the North Northumberland Heritage Coast. Visit the wonderful Holy Island of Lindisfarne (tides permitting) with its Priory and castle, the picturesque village of Bamburgh with its spectacular coastal castle and the fishing village of Seahouses.

Day Five

After breakfast you leave Newcastle and travel home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
