Wonderfully situated in idyllic countryside at the gateway to the glorious Trossachs and a short stroll along the banks of the Forth River to the picturesque village of Aberfoyle. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated, with the majority on the ground floor. Enjoy delicious meals in the traditional restaurant or relax in the comfortable lounge bar. (lift)
Day One
Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Aberfoyle. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
Day Two
A drive through the Trossachs to Loch Lomond Shores unveils lush forests, tranquil lochs, and rugged hills. The breathtaking views of Loch Lomonds shimmering waters framed by mountains, create a perfect natural escape. Visit the pretty little town of Callander before travelling through the glorious Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and take a relaxing cruise on the loch. Before returning to the hotel, a stop will be made at Loch Lomond Shores, home to a mix of department stores, boutique shops and nationwide stores. Enjoy shopping and a cuppa or well-deserved snack; or simply stroll outside, take a seat and enjoy the views across the Loch to Ben Lomond.
Day Three
Visit the Falkirk Wheel, a unique, rotating boat lift, connecting the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. It stands at 35 meters tall and is the world's only structure of its kind, combining engineering innovation with striking, modern design. Then to the ancient city of Stirling, known for its medieval architecture, including the iconic Stirling Castle. It is often referred to as the 'Gateway to the Highlands'. Stirling has a rich heritage tied to key battles in Scottish history and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes including the Wallace Monument, a towering landmark.
Day Four
Spend the morning in the graceful, seaside town of Helensburgh, known for its Victorian architecture and beautiful waterfront, it offers charming walks, historical sites, and stunning coastal views. The remainder of the day is spent at leisure.
Day Five
After breakfast you leave Aberfoyle to start the journey home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
