This charming hotel is located on Dunoon’s West Bay Promenade, offering an ideal retreat for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle. The Selborne Hotel, Dunoon (August and October)
Superbly situated with spectacular views across the Clyde and set in its own pleasant gardens reaching down to the promenade and waters edge. The hotel offers modest rooms and a restaurant with magnificent sea views. Enjoy entertainment in the large, attractive bar lounge with dance floor; or relax and unwind in the TV or quiet lounge. Day One
Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Dunoon. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
Day Two
Take a short ferry ride to the Isle of Bute and explore Rothesay, known for its rich history and elegant Victorian architecture. Then experience the breathtaking Mount Stuart - its striking exterior alone is unforgettable. Within, dazzling interiors inspired by astrology, art, and mythology await, including a map of the stars on the ceiling in the Marble Hall.
OCTOBER DEPARTURE Mount Stuart will be closed, this excursion is replaced with a visit to the popular resort of Oban.
Day Three
Travel to Tarbet and embark on a scenic cruise across the tranquil waters of Loch Lomond. Take a break in the charming village of Luss, which served as a film location for the TV show 'Take the High Road'. End the day by visiting Loch Lomond Shores, a shopping destination that offers a mix of department stores, boutique shops and nationwide retailers. Enjoy some shopping and a cup of coffee or a well-deserved snack, or take a leisurely stroll outside, find a bench and take in the breathtaking views of Ben Lomond across the loch.
Day Four
Spend a day exploring Dunoon, home to an inviting town centre filled with craft shops, a gallery, museum and welcoming cafés.
Day Five
After breakfast you leave Dunoon and start the journey home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
