Priory Hotel, Beauly
The hotel is situated in the centre of the picturesque village of Beauly and offers its guests traditional Highland hospitality. As well as the restaurant there is also the bar bistro, Lavazzo coffee lounge and the whisky bar to relax in. (lift)
Depart from your selected joining point and travel to the Priory Hotel, Beauly. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
A visit to the 'Highland Capital of Scotland', Inverness. Savor a cruise on the Moray Firth with its abundance of wildlife, keeping an eye out for dolphins. Explore the historic city and admire the castle as you wander through the bustling centre with its many shops, cafés and galleries. The rest of the day can be spent in beautiful Beauly. Discover its array of traditional pubs and restaurants or take a leisurely riverside walk.
The highlight for most will be today's journey on one of the world's finest coast-to-coast railways to the Kyle of Lochalsh, overlooking the Isle of Skye. This spectacular train ride is undoubtedly one of the most scenic rail journeys in the United Kingdom. Rejoin the coach for an equally interesting return via Loch Ness.
Venture north along the east coast to Golspie and a visit to fairytale Dunrobin Castle. Enjoy the magnificent gardens and views across the sea before heading to the lovely historic town of Dornoch, with its independent shops and cafés.
After breakfast you leave Beauly and travel home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
