Alexandra Hotel, Fort William

Set on the shores of Loch Linnhe and Loch Eil, the Alexandra is just a few minutes’ walk from the high street. Due to the age and nature of this grand old building, all bedrooms are individual in size and shape. (lift)

Day One

Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Fort William for your four nights stay at the Alexandra Hotel. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Day Two

Sit back and relax as you travel through the stunning Western Highlands, looking out for the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, a popular location for filming. Take the Skye Bridge on to the Magical Isle, where there will be some free time before heading to Armadale, where you join the ferry to Mallaig. Take the beautiful journey of glens and loch sides, passing the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct (featured in the Harry Potter movie) and Glenfinnan Monument before arriving back to Fort William and the Alexandra Hotel for dinner.

Day Three

Relax and enjoy the scenery as you travel to the popular coastal resort of Oban 'Gateway to the Isles' surrounded by dramatic shores and beautiful countryside. You may like to visit McCaig's Tower, the replica of the Colosseum that is such a distinctive feature on the Oban skyline. The view across Oban Bay to Kerrera and Mull is unparalleled. You may also like to visit Oban Chocolate Company or the distillery in the heart of town, founded in 1794.

Day Four

Admire the scenery as you travel to the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge, passing Loch Garry through Glen Moriston to Fort Augustus. Return along the shores of Loch Lochy and spend the rest of the day in the town centre of Fort William.

Day Five

After breakfast you leave Fort William and make the journey home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Please Note

It may be necessary under certain circumstances for these excursions to be operated on different days to those shown.
