Aberfoyle is a charming village on the banks of the River Forth, within the magnificent Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. The area is packed with stunning landscapes, mountains, beautiful lochs and forests.

Wonderfully situated in idyllic countryside at the gateway to the glorious Trossachs and a short stroll along the banks of the Forth River to the picturesque village of Aberfoyle.  All bedrooms are tastefully decorated, with the majority on the ground floor. Enjoy delicious meals in the traditional restaurant and relax in the comfortable lounge bar. (lift)

 

Day One

Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Aberfoyle for your four nights stay at the Rob Roy Hotel. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Day Two

Take the scenic journey along the 'Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond' passing Luss and Tarbet, as you travel deep in to the heart of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Arrive at the pretty village of Killin to see the Falls of Dochart (a spectacular series of rapids) before returning via Loch Venachar, Loch Achray and Loch Drunkie.

Day Three

Join the Falkirk Wheel, where you board a boat to be hoisted 35-metres on the world's only rotating boat lift and then see the nearby Kelpies, the largest equine sculptures in the world. Finally to the historic city of Stirling, known as the 'wee city with a big history'. It is dominated by the castle, which offers panoramic views of the mountains and the Wallace Monument.

Day Four

Spend the morning in Callander, 'Capital of the Trossachs'. The colourful town is set dramatically beneath wooded crags and is crammed with tea rooms and souvenir shops.

Day Five

After breakfast you leave Aberfoyle and travel home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
