This family-run hotel is stunning, it has been thoughfully modernised and offers a home-from-home experienc. Located close to the esplanade and the picturesque South Cliff area, the Red Lea has a heated indoor swimming pool and gym. (lift)
Day One
Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Scarborough for your four nights stay. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
Day Two
Visit the ancient market town of Pickering and the beautiful village of Goathland, used as a film site for many episodes of the TV series 'Heartbeat'. Spend the afternoon in the ancient seaport of Whitby, famous for its Blue Flag beaches. The town has a fascinating past, perhaps visit the museum, wander around its quirky streets and boutique shops, buy some unique Whitby jet jewellery or even climb the 199 steps to the pretty abbey ruins.
Day Three
The delightful and unique town of Pocklington boasts a host of independent shops and art galleries. This year we have included admission to Burnby Hall Gardens, known as a Jewel in Yorkshire's crown, a true haven of tranquillity and beauty. The afternoon can be spent in the historic medieval city of York, known for its abundance of attractions and great shopping.
Day Four
Free day to enjoy Scarborough, perhaps take a stroll along the beach or do some shopping in the town centre. If you are feeling energetic, walk to the castle and experience the panoramic views over the dramatic Yorkshire coastline.
Day Five
After breakfast you leave Scarborough and travel home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
