Day Two
With rounded hills, beautiful valleys, gorges, wild moorland and serene lakes, the Peak District is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. During this excursion you will spend time in Buxton, Bakewell and Leek, which has a reputation for unusual shops, antiques and award-winning teashops.
Day Three
The Heights of Abraham is known for its famous cable cars, which take visitors on an exciting flight through the scenic Derwent Valley, passing over river, road and rail before reaching the summit of Masson Hill. Once at the summit, the 235-year story of the Heights springs to life. Visitors can take two different tours through underground illuminated caverns or above ground, there are three exhibitions, delving deeper into the heritage of the 60-acre estate, gardens, heritage buildings, gift shops and a restaurant with an outstanding view. The Heights of Abraham is a truly unique and memorable experience. Alternatively, you can choose to walk, this is approximately a 30-minute uphill walk. If you do not wish to partake in the Heights of Abraham at all, Matlock Bath centre is just a short walk, where you will find some independent shops, cafes and restaurants. The afternoon is spent at Chatsworth House, renowned for the quality of its art spanning 4000 years. Home to the Devonshire family, there are many rooms to explore and the stunning gardens have waterworks and sculptures.
Day Four
A free day in Derby, a dynamic yet compact, cosmopolitan city with great shopping in the Market Hall and Cathedral Quarter, a park and real ale pubs.
Day Five
