Located in the heart of Newcastle city centre, this brand new hotel offers a prime central location and attractions right on the doorstep. Renowned for high standards, stylish rooms and tasty menus, the Maldron is the ideal place to enjoy a leisurely getaway. (lift)
Day One
Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Newcastle for your four nights stay at the Maldron Hotel. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
Day Two
Spend the day exploring the market town of Alnwick, the castle and the gardens. The castle is the country's largest inhabited castle outside Windsor. The medieval architecture and sumptuous interior have made it a sought-after film location. Alnwick Garden is quite simply spectacular. Discover elaborate water features and the world's largest Tai Haku Cherry Orchard.
Day Three
Today's coastal trail passes Beadnell Bay to the fishing village of Seahouses, where there will be free time. On to Bamburgh, home of the striking castle and Holy Island of Lindisfarne (tides permitting), breathtakingly beautiful with cafes and characterful pubs. Return via the picturesque villages of Ford and Etal.
Day Four
A guide will join our coach for an informative sightseeing tour around some of the local landmarks in the area. The remainder of the day is free to spend at leisure in Newcastle.
Day Five
After breakfast you leave Newcastle and travel home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
