Wheatlands Lodge Hotel, York

 

Ideally situated, just a short walk from the centre of York and close to many of its famous attractions. This family run hotel is comfortable and homely, making it the perfect place to stay and a great place to relax before and after a busy day exploring the city.

 

 

Day One

Depart from your selected joining point and travel to York and the Wheatlands Lodge Hotel for your four nights stay. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Day Two

The serene Yorkshire Dales is full of stunning landscapes and stone-built villages. See the hidden gem of Ripon, Cathedral City of the Yorkshire Dales, Leyburn, which is set in the heart of Wensleydale and also the traditional market town of Thirsk. Set between the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors, the charming town has a number of short, flat walks through the town and along the river.

Day Three

A day in the popular seaside town of Scarborough. Perhaps enjoy a stroll along its award-winning beaches and historic harbour, take in the stunning views of the dramatic cliffs or shop in the bustling town centre.

Day Four

Travel along the east coast for this half day excursion. Filey has a stunning five-mile sandy beach and an old-fashioned promenade. You will find local and independently run shops, perfect for that handmade gift or seaside essential. Bridlington is a seaside gem, which has a historic harbour and traditional British seaside entertainment.

Day Five

After breakfast you leave York to start the journey home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
