This charming, family-owned property overlooking Lough Ennell, is surrounded by 20-acres of magnificent parkland. Home to an impressive leisure club with swimming pool, you can relax in the spa, enjoy the high standard of cuisine and perhaps try one of the best old and new world wines from the extensive list. Day One
Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Mullingar and the Bloomfield House Hotel, Leisure Club & Spa, near Mullingar for your four nights stay. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
Day Two
Enjoy a visit to Athlone Castle. Discover its secrets and tales as you trace the footprints of generations, while in the centre of Ireland's Hidden Heartlands. Spend the afternoon in Athlone, browse the stylish boutiques or perhaps visit Ireland's oldest bar, steeped in history, before an interesting River Cruise, on a replica Viking Ship with live commentary from Athlone to Hudson Bay.
Day Three
A full day to the vibrant city of Dublin, known as the capital of 'The Craic'. There will be free time to explore this city, which is full of historic buildings, attractions including the Guinness Storehouse and the Gaol, and a great range of shops and bars.
Day Four
Traditionally a market town, Mullingar has many interesting sites, notably the beautiful architecture at the Cathedral of Christ the King, the "Pilgrims" sculpture and the arts centre. Admission is included to Belvedere House and Gardens, a magnificent lakeside estate, with follies, walled garden and woodland trails.
Day Five
After breakfast you leave Mullingar to start the journey home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
