Selborne Hotel, Dunoon
Superbly situated with spectacular views across the Clyde and set in its own pleasant gardens reaching down to the promenade and waters edge. The hotel offers modest rooms and a restaurant with magnificent sea views. Enjoy entertainment in the large, attractive bar lounge with dance floor; or relax and unwind in the TV or quiet lounge.
Day One
Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Dunoon for your four nights stay at the Selborne Hotel. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
Day Two
Travel along the shore of the 'Bonnie Banks' of Loch Lomond, where you will find the pretty villages of Luss, which has identical sandstone and slate cottages bedecked with roses and Balloch, which is home to the popular Loch Lomond Shores. Also visit the graceful, Victorian town of Helensburgh.
Day Three
Relax and take in the scenery as you travel to the popular coastal resort of Oban, known as the 'Gateway to the Isles', surrounded by dramatic shores and beautiful countryside. You may like to take this opportunity to walk up to prominent landmark, McCaig's Tower or perhaps visit the central chocolate shop!
Day Four
A half day excursion to the traditional county town of Inveraray, overlooking Loch Fyne. The town is home to an award-winning jail and courthouse museum and a neoclassical church.
Day Five
After breakfast you leave Dunoon and travel home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
