Jury’s Inn Hotel, Derby
Centrally located, just North of Derby city centre in the historic Cathedral Quarter and within walking distance to the main shopping area and attractions. Renowned for its spacious rooms, delicious meals in the contemporary restaurant and stylish bar; the hotel combines comfort with style and convenience and is the ideal place to relax.
Day One
Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Derby and the Jurys Inn Hotel for your four nights stay. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
Day Two
Despite its name, England's first national park has few sharp peaks. With rounded hills, beautiful valleys, gorges, wild moorland and serene lakes, the Peak District is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. During this excursion you will spend time in both Buxton and Bakewell - an opportunity to see the Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop.
Day Three
Nottingham is known throughout the world for the legend of Robin Hood. Here you will find the 800-year-old Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, an excellent traditional pub, said to be England's oldest inn. There is also the National Justice Museum and Castle Museum and Gallery to discover. Continue to Melton Mowbray 'Town of Pies', a bustling town with historic royal connections.
Day Four
Spend the morning in Chesterfield, famous for the unique Crooked Spire. Get a taste of history at the museum or take a stroll around the wealth of speciality shops. The afternoon is free to discover Derby at your leisure.
Day Five
After breakfast you leave Derby and travel home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
