The charming, Victorian seaside town of Criccieth is situated on the shores of Cardigan Bay, sheltered by the mountains of Snowdonia National Park. Ruins of the medieval castle dominate the town, there are pleasant walks and spectacular views over the bay.

George IV Hotel, Criccieth

 

With an excellent location on the High Street, this atmospheric hotel is in the centre of Criccieth and has magnificent views towards the sea and castle. The iconic George IV Hotel is traditionally furnished and offers quality rooms, a large attractive restaurant and a delightful intimate bar. (lift)

 

 

Day One

Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Criccieth for your four nights stay at the George IV Hotel. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Day Two

Take the delightful journey passing Harlech Castle to the Welsh seaside resort of Barmouth, which has a picturesque harbour and sandy beach and is surrounded by the dramatic Mawddach Estuary. Travel through the southern Snowdonia National Park, to the historic market town of Bala, in the heart of the 'Welsh Lake District'.

Day Three

Spend some time in the bustling market town of Pwllheli on the Llyn Peninsula, then follow the coastal route to Caernarfon. The royal town is dominated by its magnificent castle and has lovely narrow streets and a redeveloped waterfront.

Day Four

Today is free for you to relax or explore this small seaside town, which is dominated by the impressive remains of its thirteenth-century castle.

Day Five

After breakfast you leave Criccieth to start the journey home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
