Westport Coast Hotel
Westport's only waterfront hotel, this superb 4-star, family-run establishment is set on the scenic Clew Bay. Situated in the harbour area, just a short walk from the town centre, the hotel offers spa facilities and stunning harbour views from its Coast Bar. (lift)
Day One
Depart from your selected joining point and travel to the Westport Coast Hotel, Westport. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
Day Two
Embark on a scenic tour through the Connemara National Park, where you'll be treated to breathtaking views as you journey through the dramatic Doo Lough Valley to the village of Leenane. Nestled between towering mountain ranges and set along the shores of Ireland's only fjord, Leenane boasts some of the most spectacular scenery in the country. The tour continues with a visit to the enchanting Kylemore Abbey, a serene haven steeped in history, where a Benedictine order of nuns has resided for over a century amidst its peaceful surroundings.
Day Three
Experience the vibrant St Patrick's Day celebrations that bring Westport to life, with parade, music and Irish fare.
Day Four
Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the charming village of Cong on an award-winning walking tour of filming locations from The Quiet Man, led by an expert guide and captivating storyteller. A must-see for fans of the classic film, this tour brings the movie's magic to life. Afterwards, head to the vibrant city of Galway, where you'll have free time to explore at your own pace. Wander through the city's medieval streets, admire the colourful shopfronts, and soak up the rich culture and lively atmosphere of this thriving Irish hub.
Day Five
After breakfast you leave Westport to start the journey home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
