Rob Roy Hotel, Aberfoyle


Wonderfully situated in idyllic countryside at the gateway to the glorious Trossachs and a short stroll along the banks of the Forth River to the picturesque village of Aberfoyle.  All bedrooms are tastefully decorated, with the majority on the ground floor. Enjoy delicious meals in the traditional restaurant and the entertainment or relax in the comfortable lounge bar.

 

Lochalsh Hotel, Kyle of Lochside

Situated in the Scottish Highlands among some spectacular scenery. The hotel is an impressive building, set in its own grounds and offers magnificent panoramas towards the mountains of the Isle of Skye, attractively framed through the arch of nearby Skye Bridge. Enjoy the warm Highland hospitality, attractively furnished bedrooms, elegant restaurant, comfortable lounge and cocktail bar.

Highlander Hotel, Newtonmore

Situated in the village of Newtonmore, within the Cairngorm National Park. The hotel offers a warm welcome and is renowned for its good food and true highland hospitality.  Enjoy the entertainment or a more relaxed atmosphere in the lounge. The hotel does not have a lift, some ground floor rooms are available.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day One

Depart from your selected joining point and travel to Aberfoyle and the Rob Roy Hotel for your four nights stay. Ferry from NI 07:30.
Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Day Two

Let the wonderful vista unfold as you enter the Highlands, passing the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, which has featured in many TV and film productions. An overnight stop will be made at the Kyle of Lochalsh.

Day Three

A spectacular drive through the magical Isle before joining the mid-morning sailing to North Uist. The afternoon is spent touring the Uists, passing numerous tiny lochs and impressive beaches with an overnight stay on the Isle of Benbecula.

Day Four

Board the sailing to the largest of the Hebridean Islands, Harris and Lewis. A rugged landscape of moorland, deep-sea lochs, mountains and impressive beaches. Travel along the spine of Harris, stopping in Tarbert for a Weaving Demonstration of the world-famous Harris Tweed (subject to availability), then on to Lewis with the next two nights in the island's capital of Stornoway.

Day Five

An experienced guide will join our coach for a tour of Lewis. See many of the main sites such as the impressive 5,000 year old standing stones of Callanish, ancient thatched "Blackhouses", typical of crofting settlements, Carloway Broch, a fortified tower dating back over 2,000 years, Whalebone Arch and the beaches of Dalmore and Dalbeg.

Day Six

Board the ferry for the sailing to Ullapool. Followed by a glorious drive across sweeping Highland countryside to Inverness, through picturesque Speyside to Newtonmore for the final night.

Day Seven

After breakfast you leave Newtonmore to start the journey home. Ferry from Cairnryan 19:30.
Comfort stops will be made en-route.
